The Art of Changing Your Mind: How Indecision Became My Midlife Superpower

If there were a gold medal for changing your mind, I’d have my own Wheaties box by now.

Over the last few years, I’ve changed my brand name, my colors, my fonts, my direction—basically everything except my Starbucks order. (Tall blonde roast, two Splendas, sugar-free vanilla, and a splash of nonfat milk, if you’re new here.)

For a long time, I saw that as a flaw. I thought my indecisiveness meant I lacked focus or commitment. But somewhere between rebrands and resets, I realized something powerful: changing your mind isn’t weakness. It’s evolution.

And in midlife? That evolution is everything.

When “Indecisive” Is Actually “In Progress”

We live in a world that praises decisiveness…especially for women. We’re told to pick a lane, stick to a plan, and stay consistent.

But here’s the truth: midlife isn’t about staying the same. It’s about peeling back layers, exploring new passions, and being brave enough to say, “That doesn’t fit anymore.”

When I look back, every time I’ve pivoted-whether it was in fitness, nutrition, mindset, or now creating The Midlife Edit Co.-it wasn’t because I was lost. It was because I was learning.

Each chapter taught me something new. Every edit brought me closer to the story I’m meant to tell.

ADHD, Perimenopause, and the Thousand-Tab Brain

Let’s be real…some of this chaos is just brain chemistry. ADHD and perimenopause together? It’s like having 47 browser tabs open while someone keeps playing music and you can’t figure out which tab it’s coming from.

My mind is constantly moving - ideas, possibilities, what-ifs - and for a long time, I tried to fight that. Now? I embrace it.

That overthinking, that constant curiosity - it’s creativity in disguise. It’s the part of me that builds playlists, writes episodes, creates programs, and designs merch at 2 a.m. because inspiration doesn’t keep office hours.

It’s not indecision. It’s imagination.

The One Thing I’ve Stayed Consistent With

Here’s the plot twist: for all my pivots and rebrands, there’s one thing I’ve stuck with…my podcast.

The Midlife Edit has been the most consistent thing I’ve ever done for myself. It’s become my anchor, my creative outlet, and my way to connect with women who are navigating the same messy, beautiful midlife edit.

Recording this latest episode: The Art of Changing Your Mind…felt different. It felt honest. It felt like me.

And maybe that’s the point. When you find the thing that lights you up, the thing that feels like home in your own voice, you don’t have to force consistency. It happens naturally.

Changing Your Mind Is Nourishment

This episode kicked off Week 1 of The Pre-Holiday Reset, where our focus is Nourish.

And that’s exactly what changing your mind can be: a form of nourishment.
It’s not about indecision. It’s about giving yourself permission to grow, to outgrow, and to keep editing your story.

Because you don’t owe the world the same version of you forever.
You owe yourself the chance to evolve.

Let’s Talk About the Studio Glow-Up 🎙️

If you caught the reel, you saw my new podcast setup - it’s officially getting a glow-up!

Right now it’s a little… bland (white walls, beige energy, zero rock ’n’ roll). So I’m calling in the experts: you.

What should I hang on the walls?
🎵 Vintage concert posters?
🎤 Vinyl sleeves?
💡 A neon sign that says “Let’s Make It a Damn Good Chapter”?

Drop your ideas in the comments or over on Instagram - I’m taking all the inspiration I can get.
