Not to impress you. But because if you're a midlife woman doing hard things without a team and wondering if it counts…it does. It absolutely counts.
BROOKLYN, MAY 2026A few years ago, if you told me I'd be standing in a recording studio in Brooklyn with Tracy Bonham — not just interviewing her for my podcast, but actually recording with her on a new track, I would have laughed in your face.
But in May 2026, that became real. Eight women. Grand Street Recording. The 30th anniversary of Mother Mother. We screamed that chorus into a microphone with Tracy standing right next to us. And we will have credits on the album.
What happens when you say yes to your own life.
One of the unexpected gifts of starting The Midlife Edit has been realizing that when you build something honest, it connects you with people you never imagined you'd meet.
The next morning, Mother's Day, Tracy and I went to brunch. Just the two of us. And had one of the most genuine, creative, inspiring conversations I've had in years.
